idea for flash animation

Early last semester my friends and I were talking in Applebee's about how boys represented cakes.  For my animation i want to create a short animation at the beginning that introduces the cake theory without actually saying it straight out.  It will start out with a girl eating cake and than deciding that it is not exactly the type of cake that she had bargained for, so she decides to look for a new cake.

She goes to the bakery and she is confronted with many different styles of cake and cupcakes, this is where the interactivity comes in, the movie will stop play and the user can now go around the bakery and click on different cakes and other objects around the room.  Say if the user clicks on the carrot cake the description would pop up " this cake is a little nerdy but sweet with a little bit of spice". Or if the user clicks on the cupcakes " a great snack but not very useful for a long term dessert."

  1. I think you can expand on this a little bit further. However, Flash is primarily used for websites and games and such.
Why a description of the cake? Is there a way for the user to input their information and have the website give them a comparison to what cake he is?

  2. Interesting concept, though it will be tricky figuring out how far to push it without making it obvious but at the same time not leaving the viewer/user completely out in the cold as to what the cakes stand for.

How will users go from cake to cake? is it just one long shot of the interior of the bakery and you click the cakes you can see? Or do you plan to have the place somewhat explorable? Maybe a conveyer belt of cakes? Maybe just the display rack?
